As a Michigan native, Dr. Kella attended University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with the initial intent to study business. He completed his bachelor's degree in brain, behavior, and cognitive sciences and went on to receive a master's degree in biological sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. After discovering how much he enjoyed helping people, he decided to shift his focus to a career that would allow him to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Dr. Kella proceeded to attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
After dental school, Dr. Kella completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. During his residency, Dr. Kella fell in love with the city of Chicago and decided to make it his home. He’s excited to build his family and his practice in such a wonderful place.
Dedicated to continuing to improve his practice, Dr. Kella attends continuing education courses and stays up-to-date on cutting edge techniques and tools. He has recently completed his Masters in Implantology through the California Implant Institute.
Dr. Kella hopes that by educating and communicating with his patients, he will be able to remove the negative stigma around dentistry and show that dental appointments are really nothing to fear. Dr. Eric Hagen grew up in Oak Lawn, which is a suburb of Chicago. Dr. Hagen went on to Illinois State University to pursue a degree in biology. At Illinois State, Dr. Hagen was the president of the dental club. His passion for science, education and health quickly led him to the path of dentistry.
Dr. Hagen continued his education at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. In order to provide the best treatment to his patients, Dr. Hagen continuously takes continuing education classes to stay up to date with techniques and new technologies.
Dr. Hagen is passionate about dentistry and loves making patient connections. He prides himself in providing a pleasant dental experience where patients are encouraged to to ask questions to help them better understand their oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hagen enjoys staying active by playing ice hockey, golfing and going to the gym. He values spending quality time with his friends and family.

We have TVs in every operatory so our patients can catch up on their favorite Netflix shows during treatment. We provide headphones and warm towels for an added touch of luxury. Dental Hygienist
Nancy was born and raised in Chicago. She loves this city and all that the is has to offer. She enjoys taking multiple mini vacations every year to explore different destinations with her family. She likes trying new restaurants and foods, and she absolutely loves dancing. Nancy has been a dental hygienist since 2015. She pursued dental hygiene as a career because she wanted to do something where she could help patients improve their overall oral health through education and implementation.
Dental Assistant
Adriana comes with years of experience in the dental field. She is certified in both dental assisting and coronal polishing. She is agile, efficient and shows great passion for her work. She is currently a part-time student pursuing her degree in dental hygiene. In the future Adriana would like to give back to her hometown of Chicago. Her hobbies include learning new languages, listening to music and sleeping whenever possible.
Dental Assistant
Yesenia better known as "Yessi" is our certified dental assistant and also certified in coronal polishing. Born and raised in uptown Chicago, she loves what she does and wishes to be more than just an assistant in the future. She plans to go back to school to become a hygienist. When Yessi isn't busy at work she's spending quality time with her adorable children! She also loves food and drinking her coffee!!

Treatment Coordinator
Wendys ultimate goal is to make sure that you have the best experience possible at Lakeshore Dental Studio. Patient advocacy has been her passion and a challenge that always brings her joy when working with people. Building personal relationships, working through treatment concerns and creating financial plans has inspired her desire to grow in all those skills and share them with our amazing team. When not busy with work, she likes to hang out with her grandchildren, explore the city, cook, fish and catch up on ESPN.

"I've seen Dr. Kella a few times to get a crown and have some cavities filled. After my first visit, he and his staff were up front about the work I would need done and how much it would cost. There were no financial surprises. He and his staff are friendly and professional. My appointments always start on time. The quality of the dental work has been excellent as well. I also feel the office is managing COVID concerns and precautions well. They have it coordinated so that I'm not running into other patients in the waiting room or hallway.
