Get To Know Dr. Kapil Kella
As a Michigan native, Dr. Kella attended University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with the initial intent to study business. He completed his bachelor's degree in brain, behavior, and cognitive sciences and went on to receive a master's degree in biological sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey. After discovering how much he enjoyed helping people, he decided to shift his focus to a career that would allow him to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Dr. Kella proceeded to attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
After dental school, Dr. Kella completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. During his residency, Dr. Kella fell in love with the city of Chicago and decided to make it his home. He’s excited to build his family and his practice in such a wonderful place.
Dedicated to continuing to improve his practice, Dr. Kella attends continuing education courses and stays up-to-date on cutting edge techniques and tools. He completed his Fellowship in Implantology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Mastership from California Implant Institute.
Dr. Kella hopes that by educating and communicating with his patients, he will be able to remove the negative stigma around dentistry and show that dental appointments are really nothing to fear. Get To Know Dr. Suhrud Shah
Dr. Suhrud Shah is a proud Chicago native who is passionate about serving the community he calls home. Having been born and raised in Chicago, he is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to patients throughout the area.
Dr. Shah completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago, where he earned degrees in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience and Biology. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
During dental school, Dr. Shah was deeply involved in community service, volunteering with organizations across Chicago to provide dental care for underserved populations, including children and refugees. He was also highly active in student leadership, serving as President of the Dental Student Council. In recognition of his leadership and dedication, he received the Dr. Joseph Kolodziejck Award. Additionally, he served as a teaching assistant in both the oral surgery and periodontics clinics, helping mentor fellow dental students.
Dr. Shah is committed to lifelong learning and continuously expanding his clinical knowledge. He enjoys staying up to date with the latest dental materials, techniques, and treatment approaches to provide the best possible care for his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shah enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, cooking, working out, and playing board games with friends and family.
