Snap-In Implant Dentures In Andersonville

Snap-In Implant Dentures are dentures with special fittings that allow them to attach (snap-in) to the dental implants your doctor places.

Anchoring your dentures with dental implants allows you to:

Enjoy more of your favorite foods | By securing your denture with dental implants, patients are able to chew with much greater power and confidence.

Non-removable | Doesn’t come in and out of the mouth like a denture.

Smile and laugh without worry of your dentures falling out

Live more comfortably | Dentures not moving as much, less rubbing and chafing

Receive better nutrition | Chew up food better

Requires the least amount of bone | Great for people who have been told they don’t have enough bone for implants.

Reduce bone loss | While a person may continue to lose bone after having their natural teeth removed, dental implants provide stimulation down into the jaw which encourages the body to continue to produce bone.

Reduce or eliminate gagging | In some cases a portion of the palate can be removed exposing the roof of the mouth. This reduces or eliminates gagging caused by your denture.

Increased comfort | Dental implants help reduce or eliminate the irritation caused by movement of the dentures.

Taste your food better | Some patients with implants can have part of their upper denture’s palate removed. This allows you to taste your food better.

Non-removable | Not removable from the mouth like a denture.

Improve your nutrition | Enhance digestion

Perfect for individuals with insufficient bone | Ideal for those who have been informed about their inadequate bone for implants.

Prevent Bone Loss with Dental Implants | Although bone loss can still occur after tooth extraction, dental implants offer a solution by stimulating the jawbone and promoting ongoing bone production.

Enhance your food tasting experience | Certain individuals with implants may opt to have a portion of the palate on their upper denture removed, resulting in an improved ability to taste their food.

All On X Implants with a Zirconia Bridge

This patient came to use wishing to be able to smile confidently and eat his favorite foods. He had numerous missing teeth and infected teeth. We were able to remove all his teeth, place implants and he left the same day with a temporary non removable bridge. 3 months later after complete healing he had this beautiful zirconia bridge made and he is ecstatic with the results.

All On X Implants with a Zirconia Bridge

This patient came to us with missing and loose teeth. He also had sleep apnea and was told he needed non removable teeth to fit a sleep appliance. We were able to remove his teeth, place implants and have him leave with a non removable bridge. 3 months after healing he had a beautiful zirconia bridge made. He is happy with the results and his overall health has improved now that he can use his sleep appliance.

All On X Implant

This patient expressed dissatisfaction with their smile due to missing teeth, which affected both functionality and aesthetics. The gaps left by the missing teeth made eating and speaking difficult, while also diminishing the overall appearance of their smile. All on X Implants provided a permanent solution by securely anchoring a full set of replacement teeth to dental implants. This procedure not only restored the patient's ability to eat and speak comfortably but also transformed their smile into one that is strong, secure, and beautiful. The patient no longer has to worry about the inconvenience and insecurity of dentures, and they are thrilled with their new, confident smile, wishing they had opted for the procedure sooner.

Anterior Implant

This is a patient of ours who lost his front tooth due to trauma and needed an implant to give him his smile back. We were able to have his implant placed and then after a couple months he was able to get his porcelain crown which matched perfectly with the rest of his teeth. He is very happy with the results and able to smile confidently and eat with his front teeth again.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Patient presented with worn and missing teeth, unable to chew food for years due to his teeth being worn away and was painful to eat. His main goal was having natural looking teeth that were strong so he could enjoy eating his favourite foods again. He was super happy with the result and even more impressed with esthetic appearance as that was not his main concern. He can eat comfortably now.

Single Tooth Implant

This patient came to us with a lower infected tooth. He was very anxious as it had been years since his last checkup. After meeting the team, he became comfortable with us and we were able to address his periodontal disease first. Next, we removed the infected tooth and replaced it with an implant placed by Dr. Kella. After a few months of healing, the crown for the implant was placed, completing his smile. Now, the patient is very pleased with his appearance. He smiles with pride and eats all of his favorite foods!

Snap-In Implant Dentures vs. Traditional Dentures

Although traditional dentures are known for their aesthetic appeal and affordability as a solution for damaged or missing teeth, they often fall short in terms of overall functionality, stability, and chewing capability.

    Disadvantages of traditional (non-implant) dentures:

Reduced chewing ability | The lower denture's movement causes a significant decrease in chewing power, typically only allowing for 10-20% of the chewing capacity compared to natural teeth. The constant pushing and pulling of the tongue and cheeks on the lower denture leads to its instability.

Speech | Speaking can be challenging because of the mobility of the lower denture.

Embarrassment | Triggered by the fear of dentures becoming loose and falling out, hindering the ability to eat in public, laugh freely, and engage in confident conversations.

Discomfort | Traditional dentures, particularly lower ones, have a tendency to shift and slide, leading to potential gum irritation and discomfort.

Poor nutrition | Once again, as a result of diminished chewing ability, individuals may find it challenging to consume a well-rounded diet and adequately chew their food for optimal digestion.

Bone loss | Following tooth extraction, individuals commonly experience significant bone loss, which continues throughout their lifetime. Consequently, wearing traditional dentures becomes increasingly challenging as time goes on.

Gagging | Many individuals experience gagging due to the traditional upper denture that covers the roof of their mouth. This denture is designed to provide suction and stability but can be problematic for some. Trimming the denture to alleviate gagging can result in reduced stability and the loss of natural suction.

Snap-In Implant Dentures greatly improve all of these issues.

    Snap-In Implant Dentures Procedure Timeline

On average, the process usually lasts for approximately 6 months from beginning to end.

    1

    Procedure

Once all remaining teeth are extracted and any additional oral surgery procedures are completed, the implants are surgically inserted into the jawbone. Subsequently, the implants are usually not visible as they remain undisturbed in your jaw for a minimum of 4 months, allowing for osseointegration, the process of your bone bonding with the implants.

    2

    Post Op

Please schedule a post-operative appointment for the day after your procedure. During this visit, we will assess your mouth, ensure the dentures fit comfortably, and address any inquiries you may have. We look forward to seeing you then.

    3

    Soft Liners / Soft Re-Fittings

Soft liners are used as cushions in your denture during the healing process. They serve to fill the gaps between your gums and dentures that occur as you heal, providing a cushioning effect for your gums. By improving the fit and feel of your dentures, they enhance your overall comfort.

    4

    Uncovery

This is a smaller surgical procedure where we expose the implants and place small healing abutments on top of them to properly shape your gum tissue and prepare you to finish your snap-in dentures.

    5

    Attachment of Implants to Dentures

We will replace your healing abutments with denture abutments and complete the necessary procedures to connect your dentures to your implants. Typically, this process can be completed within a day, although occasionally it may take a bit longer.
